Charles Benjamin Criner, 88, of 101 W. Woodburn Drive, husband of Margaret Uhring Criner, died Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Jeannette, PA., he was a son of the late Joseph Samuel and Emelia Tricot Criner. He was employed with British Petroleum and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was also a United States Army Veteran. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a sister, Malvina Criner of Greensburg, PA.; and a brother, Maurice R. Criner of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church building fund, 1209 Brushy Creek Road, Taylors, SC 29687. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Sunday, July 9, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be held Thursday in New Sacred Heart Cemetery, Jeanette, PA.
