Charles Edward Miller

Charles Edward Miller, 75, of 131 Nancy Miller Drive, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 at his residence. Born in Sapphire, N. C., he was a son of the late Woodfin and Ophelia Henderson Miller, and was a member of George?s Creek Baptist Church. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Switchman. Mr. Miller also served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Nancy Helen Coyle Miller, of the home; four daughters: Lavada Ellen Malone and her husband Paul, Teresa Darlene Crenshaw, and Julie Marie Howe Miller, all of Easley, Valina Ophelia Miller of Iva; two sons: Edward Harrison Miller and wife Cathy, and Charles Henry Miller and wife Doris, all of Easley; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Martha Jane Miller and Anna Lavada Balding, both of Greenville. Memorials may be made to The Cancer Centers of the Carolinas, 109 Fleetwood Drive, Easley, S.C. 29642. Services will be held Monday, September 26, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with burial in Grand View Memorial Park, Travelers Rest. Visitation is 5:00 ? 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the downtown chapel.
