Charles Edwin Reese

Charles Edwin Reese, 78, of Greenville, died on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late Willie H. and Ruby Marchbanks Reese and husband of the late Frances Jefferson Reese. Mr. Reese served as a Cpl in the U.S. Air Force. He was owner of Reese Enterprises and a member of Berea First Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Scottish Rite Shriner. Surviving are a daughter, Rita Smith; two sons, Michael Reese and wife Dawn, and Mark Allen Reese; three sisters, Shirley Smith, Juanita Matthews, and Elizabeth McManus; two brothers, Bill Reese and V.C. Reese; six grandchildren, Silas Smith, Zachary Smith, Adam Reese, Justin Reese, Sean Reese, and Kristina Reese; and two great grandchildren, Jeremy Smith and Cameron Smith. Services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 11:30 a.m. ? 1:15 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
