Charles Finley

Charles ?Firpo? Finley, 77, of 108 Nicholas Drive, died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late John Q. and Lucille Williams Finley and the husband of Sara Ellen Pittman Finley. Mr. Finley served in the U. S. Army and was retired from American Spinning. He was a member of Park Place Church of God, where he served as an Elder and a Sunday School teacher of the Men?s Bible Class. He was a long-time member of Hillandale and Summersett Golf Courses and he was a member of Sam Poe Lodge #284. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 56 years, are two daughters, Wanda Jewell of Greenville and Vicky Holliday of Easley; three sons, Gene Finley of Geneva, IL, Mickey Finley of Taylors and Trevor Jordan Finley of the home; a sister, Jean Odom of Taylors; a brother, Paul Finley of Greenville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Park Place Church of God. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Park Place Church of God with burial at Graceland West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ladies Ministry, Park Place Church of God,
216 Orders Street, Greenville, SC 29609. The family is at 111 Windy Bluff Drive, Greenville.
