Charles Floyd ?Jingles? Owens, 65, went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, December 18, 2006. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Thomas Grady and Ella Mae Batson Owens. Mr. Owens served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Greenville City Fire Department after thirty-five years of service. He was Santa Claus for many years at McAlister Square and Haywood Mall. Surviving are his wife of forty-five years, Anne Smith Owens, of the home; two sons, Jason Floyd Owens and wife Lisa of Greenville, and Mark Christopher Owens and wife Georgette, of Travelers Rest; two granddaughters, Kirsten Leanne and Georgette Alexzandria ?Alley?; two step grandsons, Kyle and Shane Mote; his beloved pets, Benji and Angel; and two very close family members, David and Alice Jones. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots, 25 Garlington Road, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the residence.
