I had the honor to work with Charlie from when I started with AHS in 1976 until he retired. He was a great salesman who was loved by his customers. I was honored to work with such a great man. He will be missed by all who had the honor to know him.
Don Denne Sr left a message on May 18, 2022:
Charlie and I met the summer of 1960 as members of the AHS sales training program. He was 6 or 7 years older than the rest of the recent college grads in the class so he became “Papa”to us. A humble leader for us. His record as an AHS rep speaks for itself, I’m fortunate to have been a friend. My prayers to the family.

Mike Trimble left a message on May 16, 2022:
Charlie Barber was a good friend, neighbor and fellow golfer since 1984, when we moved to Simpsonville. He and Jackie were like grandparents to my sons and to three of my grandchildren when I sold my home to my son Paul. I am so thankful that I spent some time with Charlie and Jackie just over a week ago, at my wife, Loretta's, celebration of life. Surely, Charlie's service will be a celebration of life, but a shockingly sudden one. I will miss him deeply. Sadly, I won't be able to be at the visitation because I will be in southern Alabama. But my heart will be there.
Jim Phillips left a message on May 16, 2022:
God bless you Mr. Barber. Even though we never met, I had the pleasure of meeting your son, Ray in August of 1975. Ray was my "next door neighbor" freshman year at The Citadel. We developed a close relationship over the years and I'll have to say you did a wonderful job in raising your son. He's a man of humility and heartfelt wisdom. It's all thanks to you and your wife, Mr. Barber! May our Lord Jesus Christ give you peace.
Phil and JoAnn Gaines left a message on May 16, 2022:
We have fond memories of Charles. We invited Charles and two of his golf buddies from Texas to dinner after a day of golf at our local country club. They were delightful and it was such a pleasure to be entertained by that joyful group of hungry guys. He was always upbeat and happy. Our deepest sympathies, Phil and JoAnn Gaines
Patrick Todd left a message on May 16, 2022:
My uncle Charles will be greatly missed. This was a man who loved his family and took care of them. He knew more about having good clean fun than anyone else, I have ever known. My dad loved to play golf with him. From my childhood and as a young man I have so many fond memories of great times at myrtle beach, Goldston and the Greenville area with uncle Charles and family.. My deepest love and sympathies go out aunt Jackie and family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
