Dr. Charles Earle ?Skeet? Graddick, Jr., 77, of 208 Green Arbor Lane, husband of Sherry Hanvey Graddick, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at National Health Care, Mauldin. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Charles Earle Graddick, Sr. and Lois Simpson Graddick. Dr. Graddick was a 1946 graduate of Greenville High School, Furman University in 1950, and the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine in 1962. He was the retired owner of Graddick?s Animal Hospital and was the past president of Greenville County Veterinary Medical Association. He was a member of Greer First Baptist Church and was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean War. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Dana S. Graddick of Greenville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Steven L. and Donna Graddick of Greenville, Scot A and April Graddick of Americus, GA.; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Austin, Megan, William, and Abbey Graddick. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorena Reaves Graddick. Memorials may be made to the Arch Fund, University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, 501 D.W. Brooks Drive, Athens, GA. 30602. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 12, 2006 at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.

Skeet will be terribly missed by the Lauer's. He helped us in so many ways during some very difficult times. It is so sad to see him go but he is most certainly in a better place. He will always be a part of our lives.
