Charles William Eppes, Sr

Charles W. Eppes, Sr., 83, of 4 Barbara Avenue and formerly of 26 Sable Court, went home to be with his Lord on September 5, 2007 after years of declining health. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of fifty-six years, Ruth Wakefield Eppes and by his brother, James Eppes. He attended Bethel Baptist Church prior to his illness. The son of the late Landrum Eppes and Willie Mae Eppes Rider, he retired from Woodside Mills and was a Shriner. He is survived by two sons, Charles William Eppes, Jr. Sonny and his wife Elaine, Richard Dennis Eppes and his wife Ann; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; his wife, Virginia Eppes; and a sister, Louise Shelton. Graveside services will be conducted at Grand View Memorial Gardens in Travelers Rest Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 10:30 am. The family is at the home.
