Chris Bailey, 51, beloved husband of Meranda Jackson Bailey of Greer, passed away at home Friday, September 16, 2022.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Gerald Keith “Buddy” and the late Vickie Brown Bailey.

Chris was the owner and founder of Stoneledge Luxury Homes serving Greater Greenville. He held memberships in both the South Carolina and Greenville County Chapters of the Home Builder’s Association. Chris was a hardworking and humble entrepreneur who earned the respect and appreciation of his colleagues and community by simply doing what he loved.

In addition to his wife Meranda, Chris leaves his two sons, Jackson Christopher Bailey and his wife McKenna Bailey of Greenville and Christian Stone Bailey of the home; his father, Gerald Keith “Buddy” Bailey of Woodruff; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Jennifer Bailey and their children Gavin and Avery, all of Woodruff.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Brown Bailey.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown. A private graveside service will be held in Graceland East Memorial Park, Simpsonville.

I wanted to send my most sincere condolences on behalf of our family to yours. Although I may not have known Chris very well, the interactions I have had with him and your entire family have really left a great impression on me. Chris's humility and kindness in the way he treated others was truly special and rare. He made us feel like old friends of the family anytime we ran into him. His genuine love for Christ, his family and his country were easy to see and I appreciated and enjoyed reading his thoughts on social media. I am saddened by this news and my heart truly breaks for this family, I know your love and faith in Christ will see you through these extremely difficult time. We may never truly know why God chose to take our friend home at this time, but we have the faith and trust that this is not goodbye but instead see you later. Chris thank you for being such a great example to all of us who had an opportunity to just watch the way you lived your life, even those like me who only had a small glimpse into your world could easily see what a truly great person you were. I can only imagine the impact great impact you had on those closest to you. That impact is evident in your beautiful family my friend, until we see you again your influence will continue to live in all of those that knew you. Some say rest in peace, I say get busy exploring the beauty of heaven, your forever home and give us all a tour when we to are called home to be with the Lord.
