Christine Bowen Holcombe, 83, formerly of 117 Oak Drive, died on July 29, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late George Nelson Bowen and Ruth Fleming Bowen. She was the wife of the late William Robert Holcombe. Mrs. Holcombe retired from Stone Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Holcombe Cleveland Bobby of Piedmont and Robin Holcombe Lance Joe of Greenville and a son, Wayne Holcombe Faye of Easley; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Holcombe was predeceased by a sister, Marcelle Bowen Collison and a brother, Ralph Bowen. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel with visitation prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery West. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St., Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at their respective homes
