Clara Maude Gibson Wooten, 76, wife of the late John Heath Wooten, died Saturday, June 12, 2008 at home. Born in Franklin, NC, Mrs. Wooten was the daughter of the late William Robert and Kella Christie Gibson. She is survived by two sons, Michael Heath Wooten and his fiancé, Elizabeth Pannell, of Greenville; John Timothy Wooten, and his wife, Kristina York Wooten, and their daughter, Audrey Virginia Wooten, all of Atlanta, GA. She is preceded in death by her eight siblings. Visitation will be Monday, June 14, 2008, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A funeral service will be held at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the cemetery of Snow Hill United Methodist Church in Franklin, NC. Memorials may be sent to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartanburg Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC 29301 and Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 739 N. Main St., Mauldin, SC 29662.
