Clarence M. Brummitt

Clarence M. "Bob" Brummitt, 90, of 200 Cool Springs Church Road, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Born in Unicoi, TN, he was a son of the late George W. and Renie Tyree Brummitt. Mr. Brummitt served in the US Army Air Force during WWII. Surviving are his wife, Bettie Johnson Brummitt, of the home; four daughters, Tonya Rodgers of Greenville, Yvette Settlemyer and husband Chuck of Orange Park, FL, Nadine Thurston of Travelers Rest, and Bonnie Grice and husband Keith of Ware Shoals; two sons, Bruce Brummitt and wife Linda of Greenville, and Kenneth Brummitt and wife Rita of Travelers Rest; a sister, Ann Greer and husband Herb, of Watauga, TN; eight grandchildren; one step grandson, nine great grandchildren; and one step great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Burland and Donald Brummitt; and two sisters, Lucille McCall and Pauline Ledford. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, TN.
