Clarence Ray Shook

Clarence R. Shook, 92, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at McCall Hospice House. Born in Jackson County, NC, he was the husband of the late Virginia Marie Fowler Shook and the son of the late James Albert and Dollie Hoxit Shook. Mr. Shook was retired from Wunda Weave Carpets and a member of Agnew Road Church of God. Surviving is a daughter, Donna Wellmon and her husband, Carl, of Greenville; a sister, Leona Nelson; four grandchildren, Sherry Wood, Tom and Ray Shook, and Lena Chapman; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Shook, of Greenville; eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Shook was predeceased by two sons, Clarence Ray Shook, Jr. and Thomas G. Shook. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Big Ridge Baptist Church, Glenville, NC with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2008 , 6:30-8:00pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
