Claude William Atkins

Claude William Atkins, 79, of 14 Woodbriar Court, died Thursday, December 27, 2007. Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Albert and Janie McCoy Atkins. Mr. Atkins retired from RJR Mechanical after thirty years of service. He was a member of Woodside Church of God. Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Dollie York Atkins, of the home; two daughters, Joyce Mann and husband Ricky of Easley, and Alice Foster and husband Joe of Honea Path; a son, Larry Atkins and wife Carolyn, of Greenville; two brothers, LeRoy Atkins of Fort Mill, and Clyde Atkins of Hephzilah, GA; six grandchildren, Billy and Wesley Foster, Neal Atkins, Bridget McPeak, and Kelly and Scott Mann and family; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; twenty step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 4:00 ? 6:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 31, 2007 at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland East Memorial Park. The family is at the residence.
