Clifton Lewis Brown, 83, of 217 Berkley Avenue, died, August 14, 2007, due to complications from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Henry Lewis and Rosalee Shelton Brown. Mr. Brown retired as a supply supervisor from Cone Mills American Spinning after forty-seven years of service. He served his Country in the US Army during World War II, European Theater, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Surviving is his loving wife, Muriel G. ?Minnie? Boclair Brown; and their children, Thomas C. Brown and his wife Johnnie, Jane B. Meredith and her husband Larry, Margaret B. Patterson and her husband Joe Butch; grandchildren, Dawn Meredith Primm, Allen Patterson and his wife Julie, Jennifer J. Patterson, Carri M. Burgess and her husband Josh, Jeffrey T. Brown, Adam Meredith and his wife Wanda; great-grandchildren, Lauren Burnett, Cameron Fox, Griffin Patterson, Kiley Meredith, Garett Patterson, Katelyn Meredith; a sister, Corine Brown Mosteller and her husband Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Clyde Brown. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Bethel United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. ? 1:15 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2106 Old Buncombe Road, Greenville, SC 29609. The family will be at the residence.
