Clyde Thomas McGahee, 57, of Piedmont, husband of Eleanor Coker McGahee, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Sevierville, TN. Born in Americus, GA, he was the son of the late Charles William and Evelyn Lillian Atkins McGahee. Mr. McGahee was employed by Michelin Tire Corporation and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sons, Barry and his wife Michele of Atlanta, GA, Jason of Alexandria, VA, Chris and his wife Sheri of Greenville and Jeremy and his wife Melissa of Pelzer; four grandchildren, Jules, Kendal, Riley, and Daniel; and his brothers Charles and John McGahee. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shelby Brand. Memorials may be made to the Reedy Fork Baptist Church Building Fund, 459 Reedy Fork Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
