Cody Ellen Davis

Cody Ellen Freeman Davis, 78, of 107 Swinton Drive, wife of Lawrence Eugene Davis, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, January 7, 2008 at St. Francis, Downtown. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Wilton T. and Pauline Lesley Freeman. Mrs. Davis was retired from National Electric and a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 58 years are, three daughters, Karen D. Carter and her husband, Randy, and Deborah D. Dobson and her husband, Darryl, all of Simpsonville, Jeannie D Lynch and her husband, Tommy, of Greenville; two sons, Mark A. Davis of Greenville and Lawrence T. Davis and his wife, Jenny, of Simpsonville; four grandchildren, Stephanie Carter Baker, Christina Carter, Audrey Ellen Davis and Noah T. Davis; six sisters, Margie Jones of Liberty, Thelma Smith of Greenville, Evelyn Taylor of Mauldin, Carol Satterfield of Easley, Lenora McGraw of Piedmont, Joan Perzak of Greer; and four brothers, Clayton Freeman of Pelzer, Herbert Freeman and Lesley Freeman both of Mauldin and Rodney Freeman of Little Rock, AR. She was preceded in death by a sister, Myra Smith. Memorials may be made to NHC of Mauldin Activity Fund, 850 E. Butler Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Mauldin First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
