Cora Hobson, 68, devoted wife of the late Reverend Randy Lee Hobson, passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Born in Scottsburg, IN, she was one of 13 children born to late Erron Sr. and Fannie Rice Turner.
She met Randy and they fell in love, married, and started their family. They moved from Indiana to Clermont, FL before settling in South Carolina to be closer to their family.
Cora dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the medical field. Her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many patients and colleagues throughout her career.
She was known to be strong-willed and fiercely independent. Cora could be tough as nails and was never one to shy away from sharing her opinions but had a heart of gold. She loved being a “Mammaw” to her adoring grandchildren.
Her feisty spirit will continue on in the hearts of her children, Sara Hobson and Randy D. Hobson and wife, Tracy; five precious grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Abigial Florian, Kierstan, Bradley, and Dakoda Hobson; siblings, Tom Turner and wife, Tina, Frances Robinson, Lillie Napier and husband, Grant, and Oma Combs, and husband, Kensil; and her beloved favorite furry child, Macie, the yellow lab.
A service to celebrate Cora will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Pavilion at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina.
