Daniel "Dan" Earl Taylor, 59, of 303 Stone Ridge Rd., Greer, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Akron, OH, he was a son of Agnes Young Taylor of Greenville and the late Jack W. Taylor. He received his Masters Degree in Environmental Systems Engineering from Clemson University, Class of 1980 and was a Principal of RTP Environmental Associates. Dan was a very active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and served as Grand Knight of The Knights of Columbus Council 9184. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife of 35 years, Jeanne Dumit Taylor; a daughter, Alissa Taylor, and a son, Chris Taylor, both of Greer; sister and brother-in-law, Evora Taylor and Mark Clark of Greenville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John Taylor and Kathryn Jakes of Worthington, OH and Zach and Nancy Taylor of Seneca; and many nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. in Croghan Hall. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1209 Brushy Creek Rd., Taylors, SC 29687. The family is at the residence, 303 Stone Ridge Rd., Greer, SC 29650.
