Daniel “Pete” George, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 90.

Born on in Greer, SC, he was a son of the late Margie Rena White George.

Pete was of the Baptist faith. After high school, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force and then had a successful career with Dixie Iron. He was a Hejaz Shriner and member of the Wade Hampton Masonic Lodge.

Pete is survived by his sister, Doris Shipman and her husband, Raymond, of Greenville.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Elrod; and two brothers, Billy George and Jimmy George.

A graveside service will be held on December 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
