David Cecil Hudgens

David Cecil Hudgens, Jr., 64, of 22 S. Silver View Lane, husband of Jane Stasney Hudgens, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late David C. and Mildred Miller Hudgens. Mr. Hudgens was retired from W.R. Grace and a member of Lee Road United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Viet Nam War. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Mike Latham of Arlington, TX; two sons and daughter-in-law, David Hudgens of Greer, Andrew and Lisa Hudgens of Lyman; stepmother, Mary Hudgens of Greenville; a sister, Joyce Welch of Mauldin; a stepbrother, Jim Thacker and his wife, Karen, of Eddyville, KY; five grandchildren, Terri Reynolds, Taylor Hudgens, Dustin Pressley, Rebecca Pressley and Cristy Sizemore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Durham. Memorials may be made to Lee Road United Methodist Church, 1377 E. Lee Road, Taylors, SC 29687. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
