David Chandler Brown, Sr. 95, of 209 Cotton Gin Road, husband of Tommie Morris Brown, died Tuesday, October 03, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Franklin Co., GA, he was a son of the late David Augusta and Alice Johnson Brown. Mr. Brown spent most of his life in Greenville, where he retired from the J. P. Stevens, Dunean Plant, as an assitant overseer and was a member of Tremont Church of God. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David C. Brown, Jr. of Marietta, GA and Jack L. Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC; a step-son, Carlton R. Moore of Piedmont; five grandchildren and one step-grandchild; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marie Crenshaw Brown; and his brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 05, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 06, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
