David Leon Leopard, 79, of Piedmont, husband of Carmen Martinez, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late John and Janie Sexton Leopard.

David served in the United States Navy and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of 60 years, are five children, John Leopard (Charles Floyd), David Leopard, Jr., Danny Leopard (Julie Bolick), Teresa L. Smith (Donnie), and Linda L. Cooley (Scott Hawkins); fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a brother, Leland Earl Leopard (Kathy).

He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Earl Leopard; and a brother, Daniel Leopard.

The visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest chapel. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
