Della "Mozelle" Conwell Hudgens, 99, of 105 Avery Street, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Born in Elbert County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Irvin S. and Jessie Adams Conwell and wife of sixty-three years of the late Jesse Clyde Hudgens. Mrs. Hudgens retired from J.P. Stevens Monaghan Plant after fifty years of service. She was the oldest member of Monaghan United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Gary Betty Hudgens of Greer, and Ken Aretta Hudgens of Greenville; three grandchildren, Kenny Gail Hudgens, Mike Holly Hudgens, and Kim Joe Morgan; five great grandchildren, Bert Hudgens, Kelly George, Ashley George, Bailey Hudgens, and Brennan Morgan; and one great great grandchild, Mia Pierce. She was preceded in death by a daughter, June Karon Hudgens, and a brother, George Willis Conwell. The family would like to give a special thanks to devoted caregivers Dee, Mary Ann, and Gail. The visitation will be Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Friday, May 30, 2008 at 1:30 pm at Monaghan United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
