Diane Rosemary Peri Daly

January 4, 1950 - October 11, 2008
Diane Rosemary Peri Daly, of 35 South Wood Dr., Greenville, died Saturday, October 11, 2008, after a courageous battle with a terminal illness. She died at home with dignity and grace with members of the family at her bedside. Diane was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Simpsonville. She loved God, her country and her family. She had a special place in her heart for her friends, the South and her Golden Retriever, O'Malley. Diane had a kind heart and a generous spirit. She earned her heavenly reward for a life well lived. Her family entrusts her soul to the Risen Lord in the sure and certain knowledge that she is with people she loves and who love her and with faith that one day we will be with her again. Born in Rock Hill on January 4, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Antionette Travaglia Peri. She was an administrative assistant at the SC Department of Health and Human Services. Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Daly, Jr., of the home; two daughters, Shannon and Michele Daly, both of Greenville; son, Matthew S. Daly, of Greenville; brother, Vincent Peri, Jr., of Omaha, NE; and two grandchildren, Heather and Christopher. A Vigil Service will be held Monday at 6:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, with visitation following until 8:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 12:10 pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at the residence.
