Dollmarvelene Flood Pardi passed away Thursday March 31, 2022, after a brief illness. Dolly was born in Utica, New York to Timothy and Antoinette Cortese Flood. She is survived by her husband, Louis Pardi, her daughter, Jessica Pardi, her beloved son-in-law, Robert (Bobby) Lanier, and her granddaughter, Elle Pardi Lanier.
Dolly attended public school in Utica, New York, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in English from Elmira College in Elmira, New York. She went on to earn a master’s degree in English Literature from Clemson University. She worked as an English teacher and a professional
editor.
Dolly loved books, difficult crossword puzzles and art. Her passion for art led her to serve as a docent at both the Cleveland Art Museum and the art museum at Princeton University. She also loved travel, beautifully handwritten notes, cocktails with friends, and time with her pets. Dolly was affable and loveable. She will be missed by her family and many members of the community.
