Donna Cox Huffman

Donna Cox Huffman, 72, loving wife of Charles B Huffman died on March 3, 2024 after a courageous battle with PSP.

Born in Woodruff, SC to Dot and Ben T. Cox on December 21, 1951. After graduating from Hartsville High School, she received her BS from Erskine College and her masters from Clemson University.

Donna retired from teaching 6th grade at Palmetto Middle School after 34 years. Following this, she and Charles enjoyed traveling, attending sports events and many concerts at the Bilo Center. Donna started painting and her favorite was painting her fur babies. She had a special place in her heart for all dogs and knew the names of every dog in her neighborhood. Donna volunteered for Meals on Wheels and always brought treats for their pets. We know her dogs are covering her with kisses.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Charles, of 42 years; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Sam Drake; four nieces, Kirby, Whitney (Scott), and Casey Drake and Caroline (Preston) Merriman; a nephew, Patrick Wylie, Jr.; and Godson, Carrick (Maria) Jones. She also leaves two sisters-in-law, Cindy Huffman and Becky (Pat) Wylie.

Special thank you to Donna’s outstanding care team, Ms. Beatrice and Ms. Vicki and all her friends and neighbors helping during times of need.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church to be followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
