Donna R. Thrift, 60, of Greenville, daughter of the late Coy and Dorothy Simpson Redden, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Originally from Hendersonville, NC, Donna found her home in South Carolina and embraced it fully. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and fiancée, she poured her heart and soul into her relationships with her family. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Donna was also cherished by her colleagues at Laurens Family Medicine, where she served with commitment and compassion. Her warm spirit and caring nature made her not only an exceptional healthcare professional but also a beloved friend and confidante to many.
As we mourn the loss of Donna, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared with those around her, not to mention her Magnolia Group, Sandra, Shoinette, Kathy (Grant), Kathy (Smith), and Gayla. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by daughter, Megan Thrift; fiancé, Jerry Harvley; two grandsons, E.J. Kuykendall and Cody Vaughn; six brothers and sisters, Alvin Redden (Marcella), Carolyn Hunt, Edwin Redden, Randy Redden (Emma), Sheila Stepp (James), and Bob Redden (Mardi); sister-in-law, Irene Redden; along with nieces and nephew who cherished her.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Redden.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest followed by the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
