Doris Elizabeth Looper McKinney

Doris Elizabeth Looper McKinney, 94, beloved wife of the late Roger McKinney, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

Born in Piedmont, SC, she was the daughter of the late John and Leona Cox Looper.

Doris was a member of Woodside Church of God, where her faith in the Lord shone brightly. Her love for God was evident in all aspects of her life, as she lived with a calm and loving spirit, radiating immense joy to everyone she encountered.

A dedicated mother and grandmother, Doris’s family was the center of her world. She exemplified strong faith and instilled valuable family values in those she loved. Her presence brought warmth, comfort, and unwavering support to her family and friends.

She is survived by daughters, Pamela McCroskey (Sammy) and Peggy Bryant; grandchildren, April, Adam, and Clint; great grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Jacob, Charis, Asher, Caroline, Asa, Ari, Ethan, Clara, and Caleb; great great grandchildren, Lillian, Emma, Abigail, Ethan, and Lilah Elizabeth; brothers, Johnny Looper and Garren Looper; and sister, Leona Looper Kent.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, James, and Carzelle Looper; and step-mother, Martha Richardson Looper.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 06, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Set Free Church, 153 Easley, SC, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West.
