Doris King Meaders

July 8, 1920 - February 16, 2008
Doris King Meaders, 87, beloved wife of Walter B. Meaders went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Lettie Holcombe King. Mrs. Meaders was a homemaker and member of Washington Ave. Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Gail Meaders; son, Hal Meaders and his wife Janie; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 3:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, with visitation prior from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 200 N. Washington Ave., Greenville, SC 29611.
