Dorothy “Suzanne” Sterling Cannon, 22, died Saturday August 5, 2023.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of John Maxwell “Sterling” Cannon and the late Rebekah Crouch Cannon.
Suzanne was a loving daughter, sister, and friend who brought joy and laughter to those around her through her outgoing, adventurous, and inclusive personality. She was a talented young artist who won awards through Mauldin High School and Greenville Artisphere. She loved photography and was an accomplished sports photographer for local athletes in the Greenville / Spartanburg area.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her sisters, Whitney Lauren Cannon, Vivian Leigh Dyer Cannon, and Clara Winslow Barton Cannon; brother, Griffin Hopkins; half-brothers, Cameron and James Henthorne; maternal grandparents, John Robert Crouch and Rebekah Suzanne Crouch; aunts, Alison Dyer Crouch Simpson, Jane Caroline Alexander Griffin, and Erika Johnson Cannon; uncles, Alberry Charles Cannon III and Michael David Winslow Cannon; and many dear friends.
Along with her mother, Suzanne’s paternal grandparents, Alberry Charles Cannon and Nancy Estell Sterling Cannon, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal. Following the service, the family will receive friends in Suzanne’s family home.
