E. Kay Puckett

Edgar Kay Puckett, 85, formerly of 10 Sametta Circle, died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Magnolias of Easley. Born in Twin Falls, ID, he was a son of the late Edgar D. and Georgiana Hardy Puckett and the husband of the late Beatrice Butler Puckett. Mr. Puckett served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the American Legion, Post No. 3. He was retired from Dillard Paper Company and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Survivors are two daughters, Linda P. Mazyck and Betty P. Leckie both of Greenville; a son, H. Gene Puckett of American Fork, UT; a sister, Nola P. Jackson of Burley ID; a brother George C. Puckett, of Springville, UT; 16 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Eldon H. and Oscar B. Puckett. Visitation will be Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 400 Farrs Bridge Road, Greenville, SC. Burial will be in Graceland West Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Joe and Betty Leckie, 110 Parkdale Dr., Greenville.
