Earl A. Fair, Sr., 81, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, formerly of 6 Diby Dr., died Friday, December 14, 2007 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Center in Anderson.
Born in Greenville he was a son of the late Ivan J. Fair and the late Nancy Hand Fair. Mr. Fair was a member of Buncombe Road Baptist Church and a former member of Poinsett Baptist Church and Parisview Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and a Sunday School Teacher. He was also a former member of the Poinsett Pounders of the Southern Textile League. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Welborn Fair, 2 daughters, Connie Monteith, and husband Michael, and Lynn Fair, and fiancé Scott Martineau, both of Seneca, and 1 son, Earl Allen Fair, Jr. and wife, Susan Lowery Fair, of Greenville, 4 grandchildren, Courtney Pelt, Melissa Fair, Bryan Fair, Heather Fair, and great grandson, Oliver Petrocelli. Visitation will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Northwest. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 12 Noon at The Northwest Chapel of Thomas McAfee. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hero?s Haven, c/o Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Center, 4605 Belton HWY., Anderson, SC, 29621 or Alzheimer?s Association of Greenville, 301 University Ridge, suite 5000, Greenville, 29601.
