Earline Phillips DuBose

Earline Phillips DuBose, 85, of 106 Lippizan Way, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2006. Born, February 14, 1921, she was the daughter of the late James Clyde and Mildred Crenshaw Phillips. Earline graduated from Parker High School in 1939 and was helping plan their 67th reunion for May. She had worked in retail all her life, having worked at J.C. Penney, Sherby Vogue, and retiring from Belk Simpson after 35 years. Earline was a faithful member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, the Lydia Sunday School class and the Senior Group. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Linda DuBose of Simpsonville; a sister, Kathleen Palanza of Greenville; six grandchildren, Billy DuBose Pace and his wife Linda of Columbia, David DuBose and his wife Nina of Summerville; Donna DuBose Vinson and her husband Larry of Spartanburg, Lisa DuBose Aguilera and her husband Jessie of Simpsonville, Debbie DuBose Lind and her husband Mark of Woodstock, GA., and Jamie DuBose of Easley; ten great grandchildren; and a special niece, Norma Grahl of Athens, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Harold DuBose, a son, Don Harold DuBose, two sisters, Pauline Shock and Jerline Threatt; and two great grandsons, Brandon and Bradley DuBose. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 414 Pettigru Street, Greenville, SC Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 1:30 until 2:45 at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
