Edgar Francis “Eddie” Seay, Jr. passed away suddenly after a short illness on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Bon Secours St. Francis Downtown, in Greenville, South Carolina.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina to Patricia Snow Seay and the late Edgar Francis Seay, Sr., Eddie was a Wade Hampton High School graduate and studied Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism at The University of South Carolina. In his younger years, Eddie worked as a police officer in South Florida and disc jockey in Charleston, until realizing he was a savvy salesman. Selling home improvements was his niche and he recently opened Family Windows & Doors, with partner, Jeremy Able.

Eddie was an avid golfer and deeply treasured the times he was able to play golf with his brother. Eddie also enjoyed his frequent outings to the links with his beloved golf group, earning him the nickname ‘Nice Drive Eddie’. In addition to his loving mother, Patricia, Eddie is survived by his brother, Richard S. Seay; sister-in-law, Tiffany Seay; son, Palmer Reckdenwald; daughter, Ellie Navarre; niece, Sydney Grace Seay; and nephew, William N. Seay. A gathering to celebrate Eddie’s life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 101 Haven Reach Way, Taylors, SC, 29687.

Sending love and light to the Seay family. I had the pleasure of working with Eddie in Mexico. Loved the way he approached life and to know Eddie was to be instantly a friend. Our world is a little less bright. Eddie you are missed.

I just recently reconnected with Ed through the PD Facebook and I reminded him of the time when we were on the night shift and me and my partner tricked Ed into meeting us in a local cemetery and we scared the daylights out of him. He did remember and he will be remembered 😢

We played a lot of golf together. Miss hearing him say , Nice drive Eddie. RIP buddy . We already miss ya!

Wendy and I are heartbroken by this terrible news! He was a loyal friend and teammate on the golf team. He always had a wonderful smile and a kind word for everyone. I will miss that happy attitude. He had such a diverse background he made friends with everyone he was around. Eddie would meet me and my 10yr old granddaughter at different golf driving ranges and give her lessons. When at Top Golf.every time Eddie would hit the ball everyone on our floor would stop what they were doing and look our way…PIIINNNGGG. I had never heard that before...it was loud. He was so good with my granddaughter, she adores him. He was very ethical with his sales and loved by all. I will certainly miss my dear friend. Love ya Eddie.

Oh Eddie. You will always be my little brother. And one of my biggest supporters. No words can be said how I’m feeling in my heart. I will forever love you and will see you in our next journey. Love you Cuz

I am so shocked and saddened by this news. I met Eddie through Bob Slagle. Eddie became part of the Jocks & Jills family, particularly the Brookhaven location. I will always remember his bright big smile and his warm hearted, sincere laugh.

I am so truly sorry for you loss. Eddie was a great person and friend. What I will miss most is his infectious laugh and smile.
