Edgar Francis “Eddie” Seay, Jr. passed away suddenly after a short illness on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Bon Secours St. Francis Downtown, in Greenville, South Carolina.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina to Patricia Snow Seay and the late Edgar Francis Seay, Sr., Eddie was a Wade Hampton High School graduate and studied Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism at The University of South Carolina. In his younger years, Eddie worked as a police officer in South Florida and disc jockey in Charleston, until realizing he was a savvy salesman. Selling home improvements was his niche and he recently opened Family Windows & Doors, with partner, Jeremy Able.
Eddie was an avid golfer and deeply treasured the times he was able to play golf with his brother. Eddie also enjoyed his frequent outings to the links with his beloved golf group, earning him the nickname ‘Nice Drive Eddie’. In addition to his loving mother, Patricia, Eddie is survived by his brother, Richard S. Seay; sister-in-law, Tiffany Seay; son, Palmer Reckdenwald; daughter, Ellie Navarre; niece, Sydney Grace Seay; and nephew, William N. Seay. A gathering to celebrate Eddie’s life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 101 Haven Reach Way, Taylors, SC, 29687.
