Edith R Dickenson

Edith R. Dickenson, 95, widow of William G. Dickenson, died Thursday, September 25, 2008. Born in Towns County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Fidilia Murphy Garrett. Mrs. Dickenson was a weaver at Poinsett Mill and a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Billy Dickenson of Easley and Michael Dickenson of Simpsonville, a special niece and caregiver, Nancy Looper of Piedmont and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family will be at their respective homes.
