Edna Elizabeth Clayton, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2008. Born in Dorchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Clinton Eugene and Rena Viola Reed Gray. She was the oldest of three sisters and is survived by Dorothy Weldon and Helen Reed-Gray. They grew up in Arlington, MA. Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by her husband, W. Norman Clayton. Mrs. Clayton was a graduate of Lowell State Teacher's College in MA. She was a teacher, Girl Scout leader, and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Clayton attended Greenville Christian Fellowship with her son's family. She is survived by her daughter, Betty D. Harmon of League City, TX; and son, Robert N. Clayton of Greer. Her daughter and son-in-law, Thomas J. Harmon and their four children are granddaughter, Sharon Marie Harmon deceased, grandson, John T. Harmon deceased and his former wife, Gina Harmon and great grandson, Andrew Harmon, grandson, James Harmon and his wife, Alexandra, with great grandchildren, Grace and Matthew Harmon, and grandson, Mark Harmon. Her son and daughter-in-law, Beverly Clayton and their three children are granddaughter, Kimberly Greene and her husband, Vincent Greene with two great grandchildren, Meredith and Will Greene, granddaughter, Jennifer Ventrello and her husband, David, and grandson, Aaron and his wife, Amy Clayton. Memorials may be made to Greenville Christian Fellowship, 2220 State Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609. A Christian memorial will be celebrated Saturday July, 12, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Greenville Christian Fellowship. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, NH.
