Grace Edna J. Temple, 88, beloved wife of the late Billy Temple, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Carrie Raines.

Edna was a member of Trinity Church of God and beautifully sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling with her husband during his time in the Air Force and was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion. She loved playing croquet in her spare time.

She is survived by daughter, DeNell Palmer; grandchildren, Preston Charles Palmer, Jr., and April Priscilla Palmer (Brandon Rabon); great grandson, Charles Matthew Rabon; nieces, Shirley Oglesby, and Clairette Sims; and nephews, Roy, Robert, and Ronnie Raines.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, J.B. Raines; and sister, Eva Ledford.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Friday, April 29, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Promedica Hospice for their love and care of Edna.
