Edward Leroy Morton, 78, of 313 Motor Boat Club Road, died Sunday, April 13, 2008. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Lemuel and Addie Morton and husband of the late Nettie Sue Morton. Mr. Morton retired from J.P. Stevens and CES. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Martha Sue Massey, of Greenville; a son, Dennis C. Cordell, Sr. and wife Terri, of Woodruff; six grandchildren, Ed and Lisa Massey, Todd and LaRinda Massey, Dennis Cordell, Jr., Mary Sue and Phil Masters, Angela Beth Cordell, and John Jason Cordell; and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The service will be Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Potters Clay Fellowship. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West. Pallbearers will be Keith Massey, Dennis Cordell, Jr., Jeffrey Bayne, Stan Fullbright, Kent Tatham and Darrell Massey. Honorary pallbearer will be Zach Massey. In lieu of flowers, make memorials to Potters Clay Fellowship, 141 Grace Drive, Easley, SC 29640. The family is at 321 Motor Boat Club Road.
