Edward Woodrow ?Woody? Cash, 77, of 6 Stegall Circle, widower of Ruby Powers Cash, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at his residence. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late John William and Daisy Brown Cash. Mr. Cash was owner of Woodmont Fish Camp and was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Army Veteran having received the Korean Presidential Medal, the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, and the United Nations Service Medal. He was twice past Master of the Sam Poe Masonic Lodge #283. Surviving are three sons, Preston Phillips and his wife Dianne of Conyers, GA., Eric Phillips and his wife Wanda of Greenville, Barry Phillips of Simpsonville; a sister, Aliene Harris of Breckenridge, TX.; eleven grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, George, Wayne, J.T. Marvin, and Dutch Cash; and one sister, Virginia Stevenson. Visitation will be held Friday, June 16, 2006 from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June17, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Graceland East Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of a granddaughter, Kim Phillips, 120 Ramsford Lane, Simpsonville, SC.
