Eleanor Mayson Triplett

Eleanor Mayson Knawhaw Triplett, 77, of 512 New Harrison Bridge Road, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Mayson. Mrs. Triplett retired from Union Carbide/Kemet after twenty-five years of service. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Ruth Circle and Frances Vaughn Sunday School Class. Surviving are three daughters, Pamela Meeks and Janet Hoedt, and Donna Earl Cisson; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, a brother, W. Freddie Mayson; two sisters, Irene Ellis and Susan Burton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sherman L. Knawhaw; a second husband, A. Carl Triplett; a daughter, Susan Irene Knawhaw; a son, Gregory L. Knawhaw; and two brothers, Charles W. Mayson and J. Mayes Mayson. The funeral service will be Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 4:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with visitation from 2:30 – 3:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will be at Salem United Methodist Church.
