Elijah William O’Meara, age 10, of Simpsonville, SC, gained his angel wings on July 23rd, 2022 peacefully at home after battling brain cancer for the past seven months. Elijah was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 10, 2012 and adopted by Jacquie and Billy soon after.

Elijah touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around him. He loved watching the Chicago Bears, playing flag football, Xbox, fishing, dancing and singing where he knew the song lyrics from rap to country and everything in between. He loved working side by side with you doing chores like laundry or spreading mulch and was always there to help.

Elijah is survived by his parents Jacqueline Uzl (Joseph) and William O’Meara (Erin), his siblings Alyssa, Liam, Karter and his grandparents John and Jayne Uzl and Arlene O’Meara, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Elijah was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Martin O’Meara.

A private Celebration of Life will be held.

My condolences to your whole family. I do not know Elijah but being adopted and being from Cleveland OH tugged at my heartstrings. I'm from Cleveland and I just want to thank you for adopting him and giving him, his best life here in SC. You are right in saying he gained his wings. No longer in pain and whole again.
