Elizabeth Hardy Shuler Hawkins

Elizabeth Hardy Shuler Hawkins, 84, died Saturday, November 29, 2008. Mrs. Hawkins was the wife of James Alvin Hawkins, Sr., Greenvilleand the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ora Gurly Hardy. She was a homemaker and one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 61 years. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by two daughters, Ann S. Spruill and her husband, Jeffrey of Dawsonville, GA, and Lynn S. Attaway and her husband, Thomas of Leesburg, GA; two sons, Mike Hawkins and his wife, Betty of Anderson, and James A. Hawkins, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Greer; eight grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cathleen Hardy McKinney of Anderson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James T. Shuler. Visitation will be held Monday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funerals services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 8551 White Horse Road. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.
