Elvan Allen Gregory, 82, of 105 Rockmont Rd., Greenville died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at her residence. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Hassie Mae Cooper Allen. She was a graduate of Parker High School and member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Gregory are the owners of Gregory?s Laundry and Cleaners. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Robert B. Gregory of the home; son, Michael Gregory and his wife Janet of Greenville; three grandchildren, Myra, Jennifer and Melissa Gregory; three great-grandchildren; and twin great-nieces. Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Gregory. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, with visitation prior from Noon until 1:15 pm. Interment to follow services in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Winyah Community Hospice, 114-B Hospital Dr., Simpsonville, SC 29681 or to Shriner?s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at the residence.
