Esther Ann Kamphaus Fleming, 94, wife of the late George Fleming, died Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle Hood Kamphaus.
Mrs. Fleming was a member of Mauldin Methodist Church. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a teaching degree and became an elementary school teacher. She attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She was the organist for Eden Chapel United Methodist Church in Cincinnati, OH for more than 30 years. Her activities and awards with Girl Scouts earned her a honorary award from the Mayor of Cincinnati. She spent her later years playing Duplicate Bridge with friends at the Simpsonville Senior Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Fleming Johnson and husband, Bruce; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Hartline, Joseph Hartline, Benjamin Hartline, Chelsea Cordero, Bryce Johnson, Samantha Burgess, and Lauryn Price; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Hartline and her son, George Joseph Fleming.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation to be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast. A funeral service will be held in Cincinnati OH on Monday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eden Chapel United Methodist Church.
