Esther McAbee Roper

Esther ?Estelle? McAbee Roper, 80, of 113 Sycamore Drive, died Sunday, December 30, 2007. Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Rev. C.E. McAbee and Margie Kirkland McAbee and wife of the late Waddy ?Tee? Roper. Mrs. Roper retired from Stuff and Suche and was a member of Laurens Road Church of God. Surviving are a daughter, Cecile Presley, of Greenville; two sisters, Louise Gwinn of Greer and Myrtle Brooks of Greenville; three brothers, James McAbee of Walhalla, Harry McAbee of Greenville, and Bobby McAbee of Mauldin; a grandson, Ricky Presley, of East Hartford, CT; and two great grandchildren, Haley and Emma Presley. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest at 1:30 pm with visitation from 12 Noon ? 1:15 pm prior to the service. Burial will be at Graceland East Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Laurens Road Church of God, Church, PO Box 1200, Greenville, SC 29606 The family is at the residence.
