Eva Edwards Dobbins

June 10, 1913 - August 15, 2005
Eva Edwards Dobbins, of NHC of Mauldin, widow of James D. Dobbins, died Monday, August 15, 2005 at Hillcrest Hospital. Born in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Jane Shackleford Edwards. Mrs. Dobbins was retired from Union Carbide and was a member of Laurens Road Church of God. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, her flowers, singing, and playing the piano. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon ?Renee? Gibson of Simpsonville; a son, A. Douglas Dobbins of Mauldin; a sister, Bertha Brown of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Danial Gibson and his wife Chris of Greer, Amy Gibson of Simpsonville; and a great grandson, Joseph Gibson. Memorials may be made to Laurens Road Church of God, 13 Ackley Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 10:30 am at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family will be at the residence of the son, Doug Dobbins of Mauldin. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.thomasmcafee.com.
