Evelyn Boyce Lollis, 86, of Alterra Sterling House, Greer, died Friday. She was a residence of St. Mark Rd, Taylors, for over 50 years. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ira Boyce and Rosa Woods Boyce and widow of Waymon Harold Lollis, Sr. Mrs. Lollis was retired from Alexander?s. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia L. and spouse Jerry White of Mt. Pleasant; Jo Ana L. and spouse Edward T. Strom of Columbia; two sons, Waymon H. Bucky, Jr. and spouse Kathy Lollis, of Wellford; Randall E. Lollis of Honea Path; one sister, Virginia B. Ashley of Honea Path; one brother, David C. Boyce of Mauldin.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Paige W. Owens; Sally W. Buttke; Jason M. White; Jacqueline Gooding; Lynn Stewart; Waymon Très Lollis, III; Loren L. Hawkins; and P. Kyle Strom. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lollis was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita M. Lollis; a granddaughter, Anna Marie Clements Belue; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia B. Lollis. Funeral services will be held at Thomas McAfee, Downtown Chapel on Sunday at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:45. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, 1310 Old Spartanburg Rd, Greer, 29650 or Vista Care Hospice, 4006 E. North St., Greenville, SC 29615. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the staff at Alterra Sterling House and especially to Brenda Bryson for the care provided to Mrs. Lollis. The family will be at the house of the granddaughter, Loren L. Hawkins, 3 Corona Ct, Taylors or the son, Waymon H. Lollis, Jr, 153 Spartanburg Rd, Wellford, SC.
