Evelyn Gertrude Reeves

Evelyn Gertrude Edens Reeves, 81, widow of Harold B. Reeves, died Friday, April 11, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Allen K. and Eula Mae Owens Edens. Mrs. Reeves was retired from J.P. Stevens and a member of Grove Road Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Clara Reeves; a granddaughter, Charlotte Reeves; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Ashley and Kristin Reeves; and a sister, JoAnn Ladrie. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215 or Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the downtown chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
