Reverend Dr. C. Eddie Allen left a message on October 29, 2022:
Today is once again a very tough day for this pastor. For the past 7 1/2 years, Kim and I have had the most wonderful honor and blessing to serve the family at Tremont. And with each passing member of our family, it doesn't get easier! Sister Flo Owens was a strength to me and to my family. Always supportive, encouraging, and uplifting. Her stories of Tremont past, her stories about her family, and her wit about life, made our relationship so special. But to know that she prayed for me made all the difference in the world. And for that we are truly grateful! Another soldier has made it home! And when we all get to heaven, I hope the Tremont family I know and many others will gather and sing, share, and spend time together -- like we once had! Enjoy heaven sweet lady, and tell my loved ones I said hello and will see them soon! Take care of everything there and keep everyone straight! LOL!

Beverly, Evelyn and family, my heart is broken but I am rejoicing at the news that Flo is in the presence of her Lord. I loved being her Sunday School teacher, prayer partner and friend. One of my favorite times with her was talking about her Georgia Bulldogs! She knew so much about the team, she could have been their coach! I will miss her, but I will meet her again. May the Sweet Holy Spirit be with you all as we celebrate her homegoing. You are in my prayers.

I was privileged to be Flo's Sunday School teacher for a number of years at Tremont. She and the other ladies told me if I would teach their class, they would be my "mamas." They proceeded to treat me like family. Flo told me she prayed for me "every day." I appreciate that so much. I enjoyed many sweet lunches with her and her family as they became my family. I will miss Flo's stories about the early days of Tremont, and of her life. I am blessed, and I'd like to think I am a better person because I knew Flo Owens. My heart goes out to Evelyn and Beverly and all of her family. You are in my heart and prayers.

I’m so sorry for the family. Our Prayers for them and Ms Flo. She was a guiding light in my young life and gave me sound advice and corrections when needed! She watched over a lot of us and will be sorely missed. God Bless You, Ms Flo! Rest east, and be with God!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
